Have you considered helping with an event in 2010? The car club is in desperate need of people to assist the directing teams for all levels of events. Even if you have no experience running events you are most welcome to help out and learn as you go. Without some assistance from the members the club will have no choice but to removal some events from the calendar, at present a small group are running all events - this is a situation which is unsustainable going forward. Most of these directors are happy to continue if only some more assistance was available from members.

The Houn Tour, scheduled for 31st July, has been postponed. A director for the event was only found in the last 4 weeks and unfortunately they have been unable to bring the event together in time.
It is our intention that the event will be run at a later stage. If anyone would like to assist the running of the event in any way please contact me by email
The 3rd Round will take place as scheduled on Saturday 18th Sept. in the Fingal Area. This will be a 250km plus "adventure" similar to last year. Competitors are encouraged to indicate expressions of interest to the director as soon as possible (even if you are not sure you can make it), as we will be looking for a minimum of 15 competitors to run this event. Round 3 of the 2010 500 Car Club Touring Championship
will be conducted as a Touring Assembly.
The event will start at the Evercreech Forest Reserve, Finagl, at 4.00 pm ,with the first car due to finish at 11pm.
Competitors can expect an event similar in character to last year. You will be treated to a 250+km journey through the Forests of NE Tasmania, as per last year the course will be set to ensure a good challenge to both the Driver and Navigator.
The route will be set to run entirely on good dirt & bitumen roads with a few challenges from time-to-time (you may come across something like last years mud bath next to the Harrow Link Track). No special vehicle preparation is required however rally tyres are highly recommended.Total distance is in excess of 250 kilometres.
